Two-day Retreat on Managing Stress through Inner Poise at Oil India Assam

SAFIM facilitated a workshop on ‘Managing Stress through Inner Poise’ as a retreat organized by Oil India Ltd for its Divisional Heads and General Managers at a picturesque resort in Kajiranga, Assam on 22nd and 23rd October 2016. The Executive Director of Oil India, Mr. Anup K. Gogoi, also participated in the program.

With the objective of providing insights into the underlying causes of stress and anxiety, the experiential workshop gave the participants guidelines and tools to help them be permanently cleansed of these root anomalies and their effects in their persons and lives. The process aims to set them on to a path of stress-free living by establishing a sustained state of peace in the mind and equanimity in the emotions, thereby allowing the inner faculties and potential to unfold unhindered, leading to happier and more fulfilling and meaningful lives.

The natural ambience of the venue along with the deeply experiential and reflective exercised involving the participation of all the planes of the self – body, mind, emotions and spirit – enabled the participants to create the foundation of an environment of balance and calm within their inner selves that will help them remain unaffected and positive in the midst of stress-inducing circumstances.

Prof. Saikat Sen, Director of SAFIM, facilitated the program.

It was a timely programme in these difficult times. The program was completely aligned with the theme. Case studies and audio visuals were very useful. Overall experience of the program was excellent. Very nicely designed workshop with appropriate alignment to the theme. – L. K. Saikia, DGM- Vigilance(HOD), Oil India.

Yoganidra was wonderful and collective chanting of Shanti Path was a new experience. I realized that we should extend our gratitude to people, to enemies or people doing harm  to us. It was shown through a movie clip was really great. I have realized also the importance of an “Anchor” and wider purpose of life. – Achintya Kumar Nath, GM (GMS), Oil India.

Overall experience is excellent and the program is perfectly aligned to the theme. We realized that we should not allow to any negative thought to stay in the mind & feeling at heart. Only positive thought should find place in mind & body. – Dinesh Chandra Deka, Deputy General Manager, Oil India.
