Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, School of Management and Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India organized 4-day International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development from February 04-07, 2015 at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. This conference was supported by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and Geneva; DBS Bank India. Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) was Knowledge Partner in the conference.
Research scholars and experts from about ten different countries and all parts of India took part in the conference. On behalf of Sri Aurobindo Society Prof. Saikat Sen, Shri Sambhrant and Smt. Rini Ghosh took part in the conference. Prof. Saikat Sen presented the paper on “Sustainable Development and Integral Wellbeing Through A Consciousness Approach” on 5th Feb in the technical session titled “Emerging Themes Of Research On Social Entrepreneurship And Sustainable Development”. In the presentation all projects of Sri Aurobindo Society was showcased. The presentation was well received by the participants and they have shown a lot of interest in Society’s research work.
On 7th Feb, in the valedictory session the topic was ‘Emerging Methodology in Entrepreneurship and Innovation- Agenda Ahead in Sustainable Development’. This session chaired by Shri Vijay Poddar, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry (India), Prof. Jay Mitra, University of Essex, Colchester (United Kingdom) and Prof. Satyajit Majumdar, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (India). Vijaybhai’s session generate a new hope and a lot of inspiration amongst the participants towards creating a beautiful tomorrow.
